Scott specialises in valuation and professional services. He has an in depth knowledge of the property market in Northern Ireland, covering a wide range of property sectors. He has considerable experience in providing going concern valuations. His main lender clients include Santander, Barclays, Bank of Ireland and First Trust Bank.

Scott is an RICS Registered Valuers and has experience handling portfolio and loan advisory commissions. His day to day workload is typically valuation and appraisal of investment, owner occupied and trading commercial property for lending and company accounts purposes.

He also has landlord and tenant expertise and has acted as expert witness in several rent review disputes.

He has a detailed knowledge of current values/trends and is in a position to provide reliable and informative property advise in a moving market.

Sean heads up the Property Management team in Belfast and also works closely with colleagues in GVA Donal O Buachalla in Dublin. He also plays an active role in the Receivership process, dealing with instructions in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.

A member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), Sean has 15 years’ post-qualification experience gained with a diverse range of properties in Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Great Britain.

Sean has managed properties ranging from large scale shopping centres to individual commercial and residential assets, acting for clients such as Ulster Bank, Irish Life Assurance plc., Nama, HSBC, BT, Chartered Land, Grant Thornton, Mapeley, State Street, Bank of Ireland Asset Management; Cosgrave Property Group and a multitude of private client interests.

He was formerly employed by ARAMARK Property, where he was Divisional Director with responsibility for a team of property managers dealing with the management of Irish Life Assurance’s Republic of Ireland portfolio. This is the largest single property asset fund in Ireland, with a value in excess of €10 billion. His specific role was to oversee the strategic development of the diverse portfolio and the management of the client relationship. Prior to ARAMARK, Sean was employed by BTWShiells and DTZ McCombe Pierce in Belfast, dealing primarily with UK properties particularly in the retail sector

Jago provides advice to a range of clients covering all aspects of valuation and commercial agency in relation to property throughout Northern Ireland with a particular expertise in office agency and development.  Major clients include BT Group Property, RBS, HSBC and Scarborough Group.

Jago has been involved in a range of major office developments in Belfast over the years including as sole letting agent for Millennium House, as well as other major schemes in Belfast City Centre leased to PricewaterhouseCoopers and Northern Ireland Government bodies, including the Department of Finance and Personnel.

Jago also advises BT Group Property in relation to their HQ offices, Lanyon Place, a 150,000 sq ft building in Belfast City Centre and in relation to the company’s operational property throughout Northern Ireland.

Liz provides secretarial and accounts support to the Belfast team, and in particular to the Property Management department carrying out a variety of roles. Liz has been involved in secretarial and administration work for more than 20 years.

As a superb communicator, she can easily establish and maintain open and positive relationships with tenants, landlords and suppliers alike.

Liz has a track record of dealing with new tenants in particular, setting up key lease information on the property management system and implementing the company’s Quality Assurance procedures and protocols.

After graduating from Queens University with an honours degree in Law, Caroline spent a period working as a legal assistant before deciding to pursue her lifelong interest in property.

Since joining GVA, Caroline has undertaken a key role in researching several aspects of the local property market.

Caroline has begun working towards the RICS’s Assessment of Professional Competence and ultimately gaining Professional Chartered status. Alongside this, Caroline is also studying for a Postgraduate Diploma in Surveying.

Liam provides professional and agency advice throughout Northern Ireland with a particular emphasis on asset/portfolio management, development and planning consultancy , estate agency, property acquisitions / disposals, land assembly, investment sales / purchases, professional services, valuation and in giving general property advice.

Liam has been involved in a range of disposal and acquisition work on behalf of a wide range of both local and national clients particularly in the retail/restaurant sector to include clients such as Tesco, Austin Reed Group, 3Fivetwo Healthcare Group, £stretcher, PDSA, Barnardo's, Hallmark Cards, Springsteins Diner Group, Gem Jewellers, Chopstix Restaurant Group, The Zip Yard Group, The Name Shops, Bella Pierre Cosmetics etc.

Michael is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and has 11 years experience in real estate, real estate financing, private equity real estate investment and banking.

Michael has extensive experience in investment property, property development, property finance, including buy-side and sell-side due diligence in multi-billion (GBP) loan and asset portfolios, debt restructuring / refinancing in Northern Ireland and Great Britain. Whilst primarily based in Belfast he works closely with colleagues in London and Dublin spending time in both offices.

Michael formerly worked in Bank of Ireland’s Specialist Property Group (SPG), where he was a portfolio manager and part of the Real Estate Advisory Team. Within this broad role, Michael managed a multi-jurisdictional loan book comprising various commercial asset types, residential investment portfolios and considerable landbanks.

As part of the real estate team he helped devise deleverage options on a multi-billion (GBP) non-core real estate back book. This included proactive asset management strategies, strategic build-out considerations and joint venture structures, debt right-sizing and targeted portfolio realisations. This multifaceted strategy preserved and enhanced the portfolio value as well as precipitated the reduction in Bank of Irelands non-core real estate exposure.

Michael’s role in GVA is in real estate investment and development deal origination, providing strategic advice to clients in value investing; in line with return profiles, and proactive asset management strategies. He has also advised clients in equity market capital raises, senior debt options and mezzanine finance to aid delivery of commercial and residential investments across the UK. Michael advises a broad range of clients such as local investors/developers, Private Equity Co’s, Prop Co’s, Opportunity Funds and Financial & Corporate Institutions.

Barry graduated from the University of Ulster, Jordanstown in 2006 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Property Investment and Development. In 2007 Barry qualified as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and is now recognised as an RICS Registered Valuer.

Barry currently works within the Professional Services Department and his primary responsibility is to undertake valuations for private and public sector clients. Barry specialises in residential and commercial valuations providing valuation advice / detailed cash-flows to various lending institutions and Housing Associations. He is also experienced in the local agricultural and land markets and is one of the few suitably qualified valuers to advise on farm land in Northern Ireland.

Major clients include Whitbread PLC / Premier Inn, McDonalds Restaurants, Tennents NI, Cathedral Leisure Ltd / Beannchor, KDM Hire, Wine Inns, The McKeever Hotel Group and Ruby Properties.

Gavin has been involved in a range of disposal and acquisition work on behalf of a wide range of both public and private sector clients.

He undertakes both agency and valuation work on behalf of the main lending institutions in NI including Ulster Bank, Bank of Ireland, HSBC, First Trust Bank, Danske Bank, and Barclays Bank. Gavin has also taken on a number of high profile Fixed Charge Receivership appointments during his career and has significant experience dealing with the management and disposal of distressed assets.
